Small Tokens

As I have previously told you...I have fallen in love with sugar cookies...okay maybe obsessed is a word my husband would use. It might be a word I would use as well.

But I love the creative outlet and I love learning new techniques. I also may love Sweet Sugarbelle - she is a cookie genius and great teacher. These cookies are my version of her poppy cookies. I think they turned out great and I love the color contrast of the teal and orange. 

They go together, right??!

I hope so! I made cute lil skull cookies to match a cute lil apron (with skulls) for my BFFs birthday! (hi Dawn)

Dawn lives in a world of legos and little boys. I wanted her to have something pink and girly...and something she could respectfully wear around her 6 and 3 year old boys...so SKULLS it was!!

I think both the cookies and the apron turned out cute!

The cookie technique is one I have done before - and the apron I adapted from a Butterick pattern.

So I recently had the opportunity to make cookies for an end of school event for a local teacher! I loved doing the cookies and was thrilled that I was thought of for such a special occasion! 

I hope I get to be a part of the upcoming school year's events!!! :)
